Hovenweep Sheep is a small farm,
raising Navajo-Churro sheep.

Located in Pleasant View, Colorado, 20 miles north of Cortez, between the Dolores and San Juan Rivers, and on the edge of Hovenweep Canyon, near the Four Corners (where Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah come together), Hovenweep Sheep sells registered (and registerable) Navajo Churro ewes and rams, fleece, roving, and locker lambs.

Note: Sheep are required to be 18 months of age before being registered (if they're younger than that, but haven't been inspected yet, they're referred to as registerable). .

We're maintaining a registered flock as described by the Navajo-Churro Sheep Association. For breed standards, click here. The Churro's history, hardiness, and utility make it a breed worth preserving.
